All aspects of the Eatabit hardware design were designed from the ground up. Taking in customer requirements of printing, cellular/wifi connectivity, and an intuitive user interface, the Eatabit hardware was born.
The 42 Engineering design encompassed every level from mechanical enclosures to Firmware. From industrial design to schematics. 42 Engineering has allowed Eatabit to grow to a company grossing more than $500K yearly.
The LED Jersey project was a short timeline project that ran from June 1st to August 3rd of 2016. Functional units had to be delivered in 6 weeks from design start. The scope of the project was to create a WiFi connected battery powered wearable unit that operated inside of Soccer Jerseys. This project was done through Somo Global, ltd for Audi of America. The 60 custom units were used at 4 events.
Pillcap was for a group from the MUSC College of Nursing. The purpose of the project was to provide a new lower power circuit card for the use in their pill bottle mounted reminder system. This was Bluetooth Low Energy and provided a 6 month to 12 month battery life on a single replaceable battery.
Polyclean contract was to retrofit three mobile vehicles that had unreliable and constantly repaired wire harnesses with method that had a higher reliability and no maintenance. Polyclean is a repeat customer returned in 2016 and 2018 for another variant of the assembly.
